Question pollinator question

I live in southern Michigan near the Indiana line.
I just bought a Bartlett pear tree and it states
on the tag that it needs a pollinator. Do I need
to plant another of the same type of tree or do
I need another type? I've never planted fruit trees
and don't know anything about pollinators.
HELP. brigid
