Default Pruning Azzalleas

When is the best time to prune azzalleas?

It really depends upon your reason for pruning them, to keep them
blooming it's best to do most of your trimming ar soon as they bloom or
earlier if you can sacrifice some of this years bloom.

Everything I've read says the window is between the time the last
blooms die and the 4th of July.

Side note: When you prune them only shape them, don't hack at them.
