Can someone help me ID this plant my son is

What do you mean? This is WEED? I thought it was an
exotic fern..


Appears to be a little chlorotic, whatever it is...... I think it's
supposed to look more like the examples below:

I was always told that when you deal with plants like this one should cover
the flowers to keep them from becoming sexual active and this would heighten
any desired effect!

Hmm. Suddenly the kid had an interest in horticulture, but just one plant?
Makes ya wonder, don't it? I'd start by checking out this site:

Reminds me of a few years ago when a mother of a teen came in with a plant
for ID, saying she found it in her daughter's closet and daughter said it
was a tomato plant for a science project. Sure not.
