NJ End April - fertilize or weed kill first?

NJ End April - fertilize or weed kill first?

I am assuming I should fertilize the lawn first, and then when its
strong, put down broad leaf weed killer. If I do it the other way
round, will the grass be weekened and more damaged by the weed killer?
