Changing the blade on Qualcast
Hey there
I have a very rusty blade on a Qualcast Power Trek 400, that is proving to be a pig to remove. Does anybody know if there is a locking mechanism on the machine at all, or of a trick to remove the blade? Any help will be much appreciated |

Remember the nut or bolt will undo if turned in the opposite direction that the blade turns. Sometimes you have to wedge something or attach a "C" clamp to the housing to stop the blade from turning. Be sure not to use pliers, vice-grips or adjustable wrenches as they may not hold tight enough to move the bolt or nut without rounding the head, also use a long enough wrench or "snap-on" handle to get enough leverage, it is amazing how a few extra inches in the wrench length can make such a difference. |
