Default Changing the blade on Qualcast

Hey there

I have a very rusty blade on a Qualcast Power Trek 400, that is proving to be a pig to remove. Does anybody know if there is a locking mechanism on the machine at all, or of a trick to remove the blade?

Any help will be much appreciated

They can get themselves jambed on tightly. Remember the nut or bolt will
undo if turned in the opposite direction that the blade turns. Sometimes you
have to wedge something or attach a "C" clamp to the housing to stop the
blade from turning. Be sure not to use pliers, vice-grips or adjustable
wrenches as they may not hold tight enough to move the bolt or nut without
rounding the head, also use a long enough wrench or "snap-on" handle to get
enough leverage, it is amazing how a few extra inches in the wrench length
can make such a difference.
