My opinion: go with the composite (Trex, or whatever).

Recently walked a long boardwalk through a marsh.

The decking was done with composite and showed no deterioration.
It was intalled with the fake wood texture side down (the other side
had a slightly grooved texture) and was not slippery in the wet spots.

Composite wood or GRP decking or grating is bar far the best choice as it's anti slip and constructed from fibreglass, and is ideal and cost effective alternative to traditional grating materials like wood, mild steel and stainless steel. GRP floor grating is exceptionally slip resistant and the gritted anti slip surface offers excellent traction in wet conditions.

Other benefits include: it's lightweight, maintenance free, corrosion resistant, fire resistant and non magnetic.
