Default eliminating ants

There are dozens of red ant hills on our lawn; we are located near Windsor,
Ontario Canada. Is there an effective and efficient way of eliminating these
ants?

Terro works very well, you just need to put some out near the holes so
that they will take it back in and feed the queen. I used Orange
cleaner as well to keep them away from the house.
Here's a link that helped me:

Good luck!
