Default Have a lawn question

Hi,
Can someone tell me what would be the best choices to get a *dark*
green lawn (from seed of course.)
I live in the Northeast (Mass.) and I know that Kentucky Bluegrass is
very good for this area. Is that also the darkest green variety
available?
I've read that dark green shades might start out lighter and get
darker as they mature, is that so?

Any extra info would be appreciated.

*Please e-mail me privately if possible*

Thanks in advance,
Dee
