Default NEEDED : Advice on Cats and thier habbits...

Hello, now that the snow has finally uncovered the majority of my yard and
garden I noticed that our cat has been using a 12'x2' flower bed (currently
empty) as her litter box all winter long and now it smells awful even after
having removed the majority of the....My question is, can anything actually
grow in soil that is full of cat excrement? Is there anything that I can buy
to neutralize the acids in her urine? I suppose if not I will have to dig it
out and fill it with fresh soil but anything that would be less effort is
worth a try.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
