THere is the users thing but I have always liked to see who is out there and
where they get the group from.

THe server load is not that big a drama (assuming that I can ever get it

Data Center as I have my other servers in.

Still accessing this group, but mostly for the convo.
I'm in the US and using AT&T and Time Warner Business class for

However, actual access is via the motzarella.org news servers

I think what Wendy meant is that you're not even going to reach most of those waiting for your request unless you post it to rec.gardens.orchids as most are not using alternates.
Thanks for your help.

Denver - Our ISP is Qwest, but we read via GigaNews.
Good to hear from so many lurkers as well as the old hands.
And it is disgusting that since the 'como-izing of so many ISP's we
are now seeing more trash posts. My kill filters are finally working.
Since they BRAG so much you would think the ISP's could use a kill
filter to get rid of the stuff with out killing the cow as well.

OK, I went to the web site. I find that every city has its own news
server name. Just to be complete, I tried every single one. They all do
the same thing: fails to connect.
I'm thinking that even though there are no passwords, you have to live
in one of the covered cities. I'm not even in the same country, let
alone close to any of the choices.
Let me know when/if your server starts working from home. I'll try again.
