well, if you're in the neighborhood (like, standing on the sidewalk in
front of the place) you may want to look in on the orchid exhibit at
the natural history museum, but it's certainly not worth a special
trip. it's only about half the size it was the last time they held
it; about half the plants are either untagged, or mistagged, or
helpfully tagged such as "hybrid phalenopsis" or "cymbidium hybrid."
lots of pretty flowers, but nothing terribly spectacular that i could
see on a quick walk through. (--with the caveat that they had a fair
number of paphs, one of which i can't tell from the other, so there
might be something good among those.) dunno what got into those folks--
they usually do a much better job than this.
