Paph roth x tigrinum
Hi,
I've had this seedling for a number of years now and it finally decided to bloom. :-) I had hoped that it would have a strong tigrinum influence, even as much as lowii has in Julius, but roth seems to be a very dominant presence, at least in this individual... http://www.geocities.com/umerhmm/Pics/Dscn3199_adj.jpg Mike |

Doesn't look like it is even possible to be a roth x tigrinum. At least to my eye. It is a roth hybrid, no doubt about that, and a nice flower. There are a lot of mislabelled roth hybrids out there. Problem is a) some people got a little over anxious to sell things with roth as a parent, and mainly b) they take so damn long to bloom and tags get switched over time. Some sellers were notoriously worse than others at labelling their crosses, so it would be interesting to find out where this one came from.
