Not funny guys: I lost 2 greenhouses during Francis-- only have 2
left.
This one (latest forecast) will hit between Vero & Sebastian--exactly
where I am. If you have any influence in these matters --- send it
elsewhere-- a nice sharp turn North would be great then see if it can
catch that other one that is racing North East. I suspect I will have
some really good deals on Oncidium family !!! Good luck to all of you
in the path of this thing, Bill

Can you believe this? Hurricane Jeanne has a bulls eye on Port St. Lucie.
All plants in under cover again tomorrow. Rot is a problem. Hurricane
panels almost completely up. Mealies tried to invade, as did scale, but

we
found 'em.

Yeesh. I haven't even got this cast off yet, and now it's time to get

hurt
again, LOL.

Be well, all in the path. Kenni, batten down the hatches!

Diana

If my joke was in poor taste, I am sorry. I have more than 20 family members
in Fl with you all and am including all of you in our prayers.

Wendy I feel so sorry for the folks in central coastal Florida they
have had a decades worth of bad storms in one season so far, we have
had tons of rain and some high wind but NOTHING like Diana and company
have had, this is insane...

Actually, Dave, we are lower than central here in PSL, and this part of the
East Coast got ravaged by Frances but we largely missed the others,
thankfully. The "Return of Ivan the Terrible" dumped about 50 inches of rain
over a week, but we never got the storm itself. Where Frank and I live is
about 10 miles inland and though we live on a canal we are high and dry - no
flooding. All things considered, we and most of our friends are very
fortunate. I know people who lost everything. Sometimes I feel that I
shouldn't joke about all of this, but humor has always kept me sane. No
point in a sour face!

Bill,

Glad to see you back. I know what has happened to you, and it is
devastating. But think of the little octegenarian in the PSL OS who lost
her entire home and everything she owned. And Robbie and Barbara Robinson,
with about a thousand plants on the ground.

I know it's tough, Kiddo, but without a smile it's impossible. This, too,
shall pass.

Poor taste? Do you see the way I write, LOL? I loved it. Some of the most
serious things that I have had to deal with in my life have produced the
best laugh lines. Thanks for the grin!

Exactly Right Diana, it is humor, even gallows humor, which permits us
to cope. Am well familiar with your area, used to live in South
Florida and collect reptiles all the way up and down the coast
including the PSL area. Also my alternate number in Jacksonville
covers all the way to Homestead from JAX on both coasts and the center
of the state, her territory has taken it on the chin damage wise and I
have had crews in the area doing damage restoral to our system. (CSX
Railroad Communications) One of my Tech's mother and dads home in PSL
was heavily damaged to the point they had to board up and move inland
to a relatives house. Good luck to all of you there.

Dave
