Try googling on Google Images for "Morus leaves". I didn't find anything
exactly like it, but there is much similarity to Morus nigra. Do you find fruits smashed on the ground around it? Gene Newcomb Botany--Oregon State University "bunkka47" wrote in message ... Acording to informations on wikipedia*, now I think it is Morus nigra, because i found it in Turkey (southwest Asia).. http://www.hort.cornell.edu/4hplants...ulberry-24.jpg http://www.hort.cornell.edu/4hplants.../Mulberry.html === * WIKIPEDIA SAYS:========================= The following species are generally accepted: * Morus alba (White Mulberry; eastern Asia) * Morus australis (Chinese Mulberry; southeastern Asia) * Morus mesozygia (African Mulberry; southern and central Africa) * Morus microphylla (Texas Mulberry; south central North America: Texas, Mexico) * Morus nigra (Black Mulberry; southwest Asia) * Morus rubra (Red Mulberry; eastern North America) ============================================== Sorry for my english.. Are you sure the dry leaves are from the very same plant or could they be from different individual trees? The North American red mulberry, _Morus rubra_ more closely resembles Broussonetia in its leaf shape [all of these species are very variable in terms of lobing of the leaves], with similar long-pointed lobe tips. http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/c...s/MorusRu1.htm One easy clue is the leaf arrangement: paper mulberry usually has at least some of its leaves in opposite pairs, whereas the Morus species all have strictly alternate phyllotaxy. cheers |
