Hortus Third
Hortus Third was published in 1976 so a Hortus Fourth or supplement to
Hortus Third is well overdue I have been given to understand that Cornell has no plans for a Hortus Fourth. It would be just too massive an undertaking. From now on, horticulturists will have to rely on monographs of the various families and groups, such as Maples of the World, etc. It is unfortunate because many nurserymen stubbornly attach Hortus Third obsolete names to their stock and you can't convince them it's incorrect.
