Seed identification
Hi !
One friend of mine visited a rare plant nursery and bring me some strange red seeds. He was not able to describe the plant from which he took the seeds. I would like to know what kind of plant is it. The seeds are red-orange and about 7 mm (1/4 inch) in length. They just look like barley seed. I think they are not really red, but coloured in some way (maybe artificially tinted for recognise them, maybe because the fruit they come from was red). If I put them in water for some hours they lose the colour and become almost creamy-white. Can anyone help me identify them ? Thanks Mida Here you can find some photo of the seeds: http://fun.supereva.it/mimulus.mybox/semi1.jpg http://fun.supereva.it/mimulus.mybox/semi2.jpg http://fun.supereva.it/mimulus.mybox/semi3.jpg Thanks Mida |
