Default Seed identification

Hi !

One friend of mine visited a rare plant nursery and
bring me some strange red seeds.

He was not able to describe the plant from which
he took the seeds.

I would like to know what kind of plant is it.

The seeds are red-orange and about 7 mm (1/4 inch)
in length. They just look like barley seed.

I think they are not really red, but coloured in some
way (maybe artificially tinted for recognise them, maybe
because the fruit they come from was red).
If I put them in water for some hours they lose the
colour and become almost creamy-white.

Can anyone help me identify them ?
