You'll have to use a live cage and then take them to the country. Skunks are also pond killers. I've seen skunk damage around the ponds in the gardens, lots of digging, dirt moving, but I've never known them to bother ponds per se. Course they don't like motion sprinklers either, I've humorously witnessed that.
