Default How Cold at Your Pond?

I think it got down to -10 or lower. Something went wonkie with my titanium heater
and it cut out. the pond on that size froze altho the air blower kept the other side
open. I created a new "in the pond" veggie filter, moved to sit on the ledge near
the blower so the pump continues to pour water into the filter and the water celery
looks green (frozen?). The new design for covering the pond resulted in the plastic
slipping down and heat escaped. Got a new heater, dropped it in but it has been too
cold for me to sneak out for a peek until just now. The surface is all thawed and
the temp is 38oF but the plastic is flat on the veggie filter and there is ice. sigh.
Time for a new design for the "lean to" over the pond. I think I am going back to
hoops that clear the snow off at least. Ingrid
