Default Sequence Pump

Our 1 yr old pump stopped, and the impeller had to be manually moved to get
it going. It kept stopping, and DH said it was hot. He took it apart and
found the front bearing shot. We were lucky enough to have a place nearby
where he got the right bearing and replaced it. The pump was so quiet when
he restarted it that he had to put his hand on it to see if it was really
running.

What could have been a tragedy for our pond was averted by running a bubbler
24/7 for a few VERY hot days. We were not sure the bubbler would do it, but
the fish all seem healthy, and much happier now that the waterfall is
running again. We dodged a bullet this time. Just wanted to share. I also
think the fact that our pond is not overstocked was a factor in not losing
any fish.

We were surprised the bearing went so quickly as our first Sequence lasted
10 years.

Eeeeek! This is why we always have an extra pump around plus a few airpumps
and stones. Two are battery operated.
