Hi Pond in southern UK - when's the best time to re-introduce some of the plants I've removed for the winter? ==================== Since I'm in the USA I don't know what your weather is like there in the UK so will make a general suggestion. We introduce our tropical or tender plants after the last frost date for our area. Where I live in zone 6 that is April 15th. I usually wait until the 20th to be on the safe side. Your agriculture dept. should know your last frost date. Go by that. -- Koi-Lo.... frugal ponding since 1995... I dont know when you should reintroduce them now that you have them out, btw what plants are they?, but I believe as a general rule most plants will be ok providing that the crown, growth point, doesnt freeze, ie, it is below the bottom of any ice that will form. |
