Default Turtle time

I walked out this morning and saw a very new baby turtle in our pond. We
had no adult living there last year, but obviously one came by. The baby
still has a soft shell! I suspect the siblings will follow soon! It will
move to a lake soon.

Oh how cool. When i was a girl in california, we had these tiny green
turtles in an aquarium. Lots of people did. I haven't seen or heard of
them in years, but in a dream i had some in my pond. I would love to
have some again.

Default Turtle time

Last year, I got home from work, surveyed my domain, and spotted a baby RES
sunning on a lily pad. I was stunned! No turtles anywhere around my
property. I KNOW I saw him; I asked for info on how to take care of my
windfall: and I never saw it again. Don't know where it came from, don't
know where it went. But I sure was tickled pink for the day!
