REQUEST FOR DISCUSSION (RFD) rec.ponds.moderated
[sent only to rec.ponds]
"Daedalus" wrote in message ... [snip] rec.ponds.moderated is unnecessary and likely to result in the exodus of rec.ponds regulars from usenet all together. That is an absolutely bizarre statement. Anyone who has spent any time on Usenet probably has a half dozen or more newsgroups they read/post to fairly regularly. I've seen some of my regular ngs "die" due to flame wars or lack of usage. Some come back, some don't. I started reading Usenet ngs in the late 1980s or early 1990s and I'm still reading Usenet ngs and have no plans to stop, even if one of my regular ngs, rec.ponds, goes the way of the dinosaurs. Hell, even if ALL of my regular ngs disappear (unlikely) I'll find others to read. Of course I could be wrong and you could bet on the fourth time being charmed. I have no idea what the frell that means. What I do know is that there are people on rec.ponds who are trying to solve a problem, and other people who are trying to keep trouble alive. I know which will get my support. Jade Gail |
