Default A frustrating heron

I have a scarecrow. It seemed to be effective until the solenoid died when I
was out of town for a week. I came home to one lonely koi. The manufacturer
was sympathetic (in fact the solenoid was a known problem to them) and sent
me a new part. Didn't make up for the lost fish though.

Oh my! I guess this would be reason enough to have two of them set up when
one goes out-of-town. Sorry for your lost. Did herons or raccoons take
them?

BV, the bucket on a stake, great idea, especially with a motion sprinkler
going off and hitting it too, double the scariness! Between mine hitting
the creatures, it also hits a wind chime, fence and the styrofoam over the
filter, the later being very loud. ~ jan

Herons. We have raccoons here as well, but never see the signs of their pond
visit such as turned over pots and stuff.
