I was a member too until the server crashed and I've not had the energy to
reload my pictures!

BTW, wouldn't want to take people away from our nice pond newsgroup here
now!

Hi All,

Our group is not intended as a replacement for anything, it's just a fun
place to hang out with other like minded pond keepers and you can see loads
of pictures of ponds from all over the world if only to get new ideas for
your own ponds.

You can rejoin with out posting pictures.

Gazman.

It is a nice place, i belong also. But Gazman, i have noticed, you cant
recommend pond places to other groups. It offends them. I offended another site
by inviting them toThe Old Garden Pond and had to leave the site. They were
obnoxious!! And I was truly sorry. I guess I am just proud of our site!
Just an observation!

I guess I should have put smiley after my words since I didn't intend to
offend you, nor was I offended by Gazman's post. I was kind of curious
though that he does not post here regularly but came by to cast his net out
for ......... Proves that you really can't effectively participate in two
groups for the same topic!

I like the Old Garden Pond because of the ability to post pictures, etc.

That's ok,
The reason I don't post here very much is lack of time not any other
reason.
I work crazy hours and can't use newsgroups from the work PC they don't
allow it and our mail program is not set up for it anyway (I'm told it's due
to the availability of porn on certain newsgroups)
As for casting the net that is true I just popped in to inform others of the
groups existence, as the newsgroups has no overall management to offend and
the users are all into ponds, where better to advertise our group, if
someone has the time for more pond groups then great if not then that's no
problem.

The newsgroups are great places for exchanging knowledge with like minded
people, but not that good for photographic images, you can't setup an album
of your pictures and store them here.

Over the past two years we have built a nice site with over 500 pictures
from our members some of the ponds are fantastic some are just being
constructed for the first time.

Our membership is still only 160 we are always looking for new members to
add to the groups diversity and bring fresh ideas into it.

Regards Gazman.
