Default expanding pond - ? about bonding epdm

After some research, I see that I could use a vulcaninzing compound to
attach a new piece of liner (epdm) to my old liner. I just noticed my bike
inner tube repair kit comes with a vulcanizing fluid -can I use that? What
are the best ways for bonding rubber to rubber in your experience?

Go to a building supply store and buy a roof repair kit. Mine came with tape
and compound to bond two 50 foot pieces together.
