Default Fish lice (Argulus)

What's the best way to get rid of fish lice or argulus with a product
available in the UK?

The local dealer tried to sell me a product which was in the 'rip-off' price
bracket, claimed it was the only thing that could do the job, and the small
print on the container said it had to be re-applied after a little over a
month.

Brian.
