Trapdoor snails making an escape
Hi all,
My wife reports that this morning she found three of our trapdoor snails on our lawn instead of the pond. Unfortunately, she found one of them by running it over with a bicycle. Does anyone know why they might be wandering? We've had the pond for a few years now and they haven't done this before. Do they start migrating in the summer after a few years :-)? I think the water quality is good. We had a big rain last night, so I think they're just roaming because they can, but I wanted to make sure it's not a sign like rats leaving a ship... Paul |
