Larry wrote:
Everyone here seems to know how much their pond holds. Is there a formula to help one figure it out. My pond is lower receptacle(pond) is 3'x3'xabout 16". Figuring out the volume is easy but how does that translate into gallons? Thanks, Larry Southern Ontario 3 X 3 = 9sq ft = 1296 sq in 1296 X 16 = 20736 cu in 1 cu ft = 1728 cu in 20736cu in / 1728 cu in = 12 cu ft 1 cu ft = 7.46 U.S.Gallons 12 cu ft X 7.46 gal/cu ft = 89.52 = about 90 US Gallons -- /\/\ike Chagoi http://ourkoipond.com |
