He'll drink out of the pond but he won't chase the birds away! Silly
dog! Actually, I don't think it is a pond anymore. More of a bird
bath! He won't even chase them away from his food bowl!

I guess it depends on what kind of bird!!!

Around here magpies eat from the water
gardening labradors bowls and are ignored.

Big, blue, hungry herons get chased away.
