My sister in Bushnell Florida and her husband bred the Encore Rose
bushes. They bloom in late summer and keep flowers till the first frost. Beautiful rose bushes .... FEED THE WORLD.... |

Encore (Hybrid Tea, Warriner, 1984) Class: Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea / Large-Flowered. aka: JACore Registration: Encore (Hybrid Tea, Warriner, 1984), JACore Origin: Bred in United States (1984) by William A. Warriner. Introduced in United States (1984) by Jackson & Perkins Co.. Bloom: Dark red [dr] blooms. No fragrance. 20 petals. Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Growing: Zone 6 and higher. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
