Planting shrubs for hedges
I need some advice on how far to plant shrubs apart to make a dence hedge. Is there a rule for spacing them that can be determined from their mature width?

Yes, you plant them based on their mature width, on center. So if a bush gets ten feet wide, you'd plant the shrubs ten feet apart or ten feet on center. I hope I articulated that well. Of course you can deduct a foot or two if you want them to meet sooner. |
