Default Success

See prior post "Break out the rakes" 3/7/2007.

Turns out didn't need any compost covering the soil. The last 3 weeks of
cloudiness and rain did the trick. The bermuda grass is visible everywhere
I tossed the seed and lightly raked in with a bow rake in tandem with coated
fertilizer.

The sandy loam I put down for the bermuda grass didn't take well to the rain
prior to the last one. A few gulleys from roof runoff. The rain gutters
seem to have fixed that problem per observation after last rain. Now to
fill the gulleys today with leftover pile under plastic tarp.

See many trees sprouting leaves. The glaring exception, at least in my
area, are pecan trees. When do these start sprouting leaves?

All the live oaks in my area are spore monsters... Red oaks are leafing
well.
