Default Dietes (Moraea)--Opinions?

Found and bought the other day the Dietes bi-color.

Today found and bought the Dietes vegeta. This one's blooming. White
flower, with lavendar parts inside center (I forgot what to call them,
like inside center of bearded iris).

My old Sunset gardening book said for the bi-color to cut flower stems
to ground after blossoms fade. Says for the vegeta do not cut off long
branching stems, just cut back to lower leaf joint near base of plant.

Will these be happy in pots? Any comments?

Linda
