Default Kiowa Crepe Myrtle

Hey, who was it that was asking about a Kiowa Crepe Myrtle! I think that
I found some but I can't get the pictures you posted anymore. I don't
know for sure if they are or not, the driveway gate was closed so I
could not get in to ask the owner if they knew what kind they were. They
had white flowers and cinnamon colored bark. Please post the pictures
again! Thanks

Alan

You may need to ask the owner, but the ones you saw may be 'Natchez'.
Natchez Crepe Myrtles are very common. Scroll down to the bottom of the
page and you'll find a link for Natchez also. From the pictures it's hard
to tell a Natchez from a Kiowa, but in person they are quite different. The
Kiowa's bark is very shiny and it's form is much more tree-like. The
flowers are actually quite different also, but look very similar in the
pictures. I have a Natchez, so for me it was very easy to see the
differences, but just looking at pictures may not be so easy.
