Default Lawn...

Hi
We have a rectangle lawn....... on 2 edges (i.e an L shape) it has been dug
up - going about 50cm in each way - i wanna put new grass on thsese spots so
it is all grass again.

we did our back garden with seeds but looking on the net the idea of buying
ready made turf looks a lot easier.

before i do it.. some questions

1) we currently have some crap growing where there is no grass - what steps
should i take to ensure they dont grow back - i am gonna pull out all the
roots but will this stop growth - any particular weed killer i hsould spray
on?

2) once i have sorted the soil out is it simply a case of rolling on the
turf (i have rea da few onlien guides and it doesnt look too difficult)
although i guess the new grass will look out of palce compared to the older
grass!

3) Any ideas on how much it might cost to get someone to completley take out
the old grass and lay a new lawn so its completley flat? its not massive -
at a guess i would say about 5m x 4..
