Default Strawberry question

hi

Can anyone recommend a good strawberry for outside culitivation in
rather a cool area of the pennines?

How many plants should be bought to fill a 6' by 3' bed in a couple of
years?

TIA

One :-)

More seriously, plant strawberries about a foot apart (i.e. about
a dozen for that size), and they will produce more runners than
will fill up that bed later this year. If the strawberries are
very expensive, fewer would be fine and you would fill it late
next year.
