The message .com
from "La puce" contains these words: T'was my bellie when I woke up. Must have been looking ahead to all the work I have to do in 4 days. Took 3 days off next week to do raised beds with sleepers which I now don't have, tons of manure to shift with a helper who's gone to a funeral now and it's pouring down cats and dogs ... and ropes sigh Go to a builders' merchant and buy some shuttering grade ply, that's cheap, and doesn't come apart. Most yards will cut it to size for you. You'll need to treat it with something to prevent it from rotting, but it should last a very long time as long as you line the soil side with black polythene (damp-course) membrane (also from a builders' merchant). You can even make large-ish holes in it (eclectic drill and a hole-saw) and have strawberries growing on the face of the board - (partially) defeats the thieving birds, and keeps the fruit from the attention of slugs. -- Rusty horrid dot squeak snailything zetnet point co full-stop uk http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/hi-fi/ |
