Default What to do about spam like the iPOD one

On other ng's there has been a lot of scam spam recently so if you do not
like it :-

Right hand click (RHC) on the spam message and select "Properties" then
"Details".

Place curser anywhere on details, right hand click then choose "Select all".
Right hand click on blued details and select "Copy".

Go to Inbox and Create Mail. Place curser in message space and RHC then
select "Paste".

In the details you will see where to send the message ("Abuse . . " or
"Complaints to . . "). Send your message with reasonable requests.

Have you tried this with anything else than Outlook Express or did you just
assume that all news clients work the same?

p.s its 'cursor'.

Ignore it. It's a non-problem.

Indeed, and then you find it was posted via Google Groups, presumably
via a disposable account, and the whole thing was awaste of time
anyway.

Ignoring it is much the easiest thing.

You get hoist on one?

Yes indeed, the phrase hoist by one's own petard refers also to being
offended by one's own fart.

Petar/petard from French 'peter'- to break wind.

I don't need to do anything, my news server deletes posts like this as they
arrive, the only problems arise when people reply to the original, thus
creating a new and visible thread.
