Drought
There was an article in the local paper the other day saying that this has
been the driest January for 100 years! Temps on Sunday never allowed the ice on the pond to melt, yesterday it never rose above 3C and today has been a positively balmy 4C and grey, grey, grey. -- Sacha www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon ) |

Drought
He He He...... 20 degrees blue sky and lots of sun........ (ducks and
runs for cover) Mind you there was snow 10km away at the weekend, apparently loads of people went from the coast to see it and walk in it, but it was too cold????? and they soon decided to go back home. Locals enjoyed it from their houses. Mike in Spain... |

Up to about a decade ago, it was usually MUCH colder at least once in January. Glad you think that too. I can remember the early 80s here in Manc being -5 for weeks in February and not being able to sleep for the heat in May of the same decade. There will inevitably be differences of temperatures between years, even decades, but I think comparing one 6th of Feb with another 6th of Feb two years later and stating it's colder than a decade ago gets me a bit mad. |

Drought
Here in the heart of the country, it didn't manage to climb above -1C
today after falling away to -4C last night. The local forecast suggests it may stay below freezing for another 36 hours but still no sign of snow! There is one consolation for the cold dry weather, clearing up the dogs presents left in the garden is a lot easier - hard as rocks!!! Hadleigh www.gardenoasis.co.uk Tamworth |
