Default Weeds on Compost

I've pulled out loads of himalayan balsam from around my allotment. Can
these weeds (no flowers or seed heads) be put into my compost heap?

Thanks.

I don't put the impatients, horsetails, couch grass and buttercups on
compost because they take to the compost and carry on growing. I
usually let them dry first. At home I toss them in my burner and burn
the lot in the autumn.
