Our children once complained that they'd lost a marble in the garden.

OIn day I was digging and found a marble.

"I've found it!" I called. They were pleased.

That was thirty odd years ago.

Now, very frequently when I trowel (not dig) the garden I find a marble. I
always call, "I've found it!" Spouse always knows what I mean.

The children are long gone. The marbles are forming a l-o-n-g line along a
windowsill.

Where DO they all come from? And why don't grandchildren want them?

It's sort of little drops of water, which for some reason, now and again,
fall out of the sky, if you have a little patience, and if you keep
looking, you might, one day, see some.

It's an experience not to be missed!

But don't waste it!

Place butts to collect it forom roofs, buckets and bins everywhere else.

It does wonders for vegetables.

And no doubt flowers but I don't care about those :-)

What a nice little story Mary, my six year old grandson has just
discovered the joys of marbles, his hands are not quite
big enough to master the action required but I am sure he will learn
soon enough :-)

Probably not for men with marbles for stones, or even stones the size
of marbles. And, of course, there are a lot of both sexes that have
lost their marbles.
