Angry Sick Gunnera

Hi All
I bought a Gunnera last November to plant near my pond, plant looked healthy, had 1 green leaf about 6 inches across. Re potted into a larger pot and put it in the greenhouse over winter. Leaf fell off as I would expect. So about 2 weeks ago I planted it outside, now all the new leaves (3 of them) are tiny, they are yellow looking and brown and crispy around the edges. I am watering well, keeping soil moist, it’s not in the sun all day; don’t know what I am doing wrong. Will try and add picture tomorrow when I work out how to and if I can.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
