Default Kentish Bell gone loopy !

This year our 4 yr old Kentish Bell has gone mad!
Hundreds of flowers and loads of good growth. My question is when and how to
prune it to allow good growth next year.

Had a Google and not many informative answer for the amateur gardener, so
can any of the better gardeners from this NG assist please?

Because they flower for 365 days of the year its hard to pick a good time!
Personally when one oversteps the mark I tackle it in Spring (March April)
but in truth you can do it pretty much anytime.
