Two weeks behind my first sighting this year - I put out some extra food
for them when I saw one of ours in the garden during the last warm spell
(not that there's been much cold this winter).

Crocuses and summer snowflakes (don't usually flower until then end of
Feb here, and most books say April) in flower and I expect my first daff
in the next couple of days, again almost a month ahead of normal.

Shame it's been so wet though, I'm well over a month behind at the
allotment (otherwise known as the swamp at the moment).

Just hope we get a better growing season than last year - first too wet
when I should have been digging, then too dry in March and April when
everything was getting established, then too wet again in the summer and
autumn. Lost 90% of the potato crop to blight and slugs, all the garlic
died in the wet (first time ever) and slugs had 95% of my first bean
planting.
