Default Feeds

Garden (now) with a limited vegetable growing area and switching last year's
plots from tomatoes to runner beans and vice versa. What preparations should
I attend to now, and what are the most appropriate feeds?

I'd start by digging in well rotted compost.
You don't say anything about soil types, which would influence more
technical answers. Have a chat to someone at a local, independent,
garden centre. That is a good place to start.
