Default gunnera manicuta

we have a very large garden and have bought a gunnera i was going to plant it at end of garden there is some shade how many feet away from fence should i plant it or how big will it get in diameter roughly

thanx for your reply sacha we will be in devon august for our holidays will visit your nursery it looks lovely our gunnera is only a baby so we have a few years to go before its as big as yours

I would estimate that ours is roughly 12' tall and the same around.
The
books say around 6' but ours is near the soakaway and obviously
profits
accordingly!

We'll look forward to meeting you. There's a map and directions on the web
site but ring us if you need further help. I used to dislike Gunnera but
I've now become rather fond of it! It's funny how one's perception of a
plant can change depending on where it is. But I still think they look
quite triffidish!
