Default Slug damage to sunflower question

The flower bud has been eaten while still nestling in its protective leaves.

Might another grow or should I just lift and dump?

They are usually quite good at regrowing so I'd leave it for a while to give
it a chance.I've had whole tops eaten from mine just leaving the stem and
they have regrown!
