The main thing when poisoning ivy is to get the weedkiller to 'stick'.

You need to beat it with something which will bruise the leaves - a
cat-'o-nine-tails springs to mind...

Then, EC="shhhh!" add some detergent to break down the surface tension
of the liquid weedkiller. /EC
