Default Strange things in my flower beds..

Just this season I have had to pull out.... Deadly nightshade... never had
that before in this garden! (22yrs) Potatoes, and this I am letting carry
on, a tomato plant! Don't know if its over enthusiastic birds, or I have
put them back via compost?

Tomatoes appear from compost quite regularly. I don't know why - if I
eat the whole tomato including seeds, and get rid of the resulting waste
in the conventional manner, why do they end up in my compost?

Are you ure it's deadly nightshade not black nightshade, which is quite
a common weed of cultivation?

lol! Tomato seeds survive the sewage works, you'll often see tomato plants by the sides of the works.
