Default Onions

I've got some onion sets left over from an earlier planting. Would it be
worthwhile to plant them now?

I think it depends how fresh they are. If they have long shoots and are
quite thin, they are more likely to bolt to flower rather than make a bulb.

Why not? You can still use them as salad onions if they dont bulb.
